Harry Potter Movie Garners Awards in the People’s Choice Awards

The 38th Annual People’s Choice Awards which was recently held on Wednesday was a success, making Katy Perry and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as the Top two in terms of garnering most of the awards.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is the last and final installment for the magical film series starring Daniel Radcliffe and it gained four wins in the recently held People’s Choice Awards, following Katy Perry who won in five categories.

The Deathly Hallows wins for Favorite Movie, Action Movie, Book Adaptation and Ensemble Movie cast. However, just like Katy Perry, none of the stars of the film were not also there to present during the awards night to receive their awards. Probably Daniel Radcliff is busy promoting his upcoming horror thriller movie entitled “The Woman in Black” which is set to be released in movie theaters this February 3, so he definitely has a reason not to come. But how about the rest of the cast?

Oh well, because of their absence, they left more screen time on the CBS Broadcast for other winners in the show’s 43 categories honoring TV, film and music.

In the meantime, as for Katy Perry, many were already not surprised that she wasn’t able to come in the event because she tweeted a few days earlier that she can’t come but she haven’t cited any reason at all. “I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed!”, this is all that she tweeted. It would have marked her first public appearance since the British actor-comedian Russell Brand filed for divorce for their almost 14 months of marriage. But still, her fans expected to see her in the show.
